HiveClaw meetings
Recording and consent
Recording is visible, deliberate, and tied to your tier policy. A meeting can still produce a transcript and recap even when audio recording is off.

Recording defaults
- Priority: audio recording is opt-in. You choose the recording setting before or during the meeting.
- Dedicated: recording follows your tenant policy. If the policy is always-record, the pre-meeting screen and in-room banner show that before you join.
- Recording cannot start silently. The room shows recording state to participants.
What gets recorded
When audio recording is on, HiveClaw stores the mixed meeting audio and links it to the meeting record. The recap email includes a recording link when policy allows and recording completed successfully.
The meeting transcript is different from the audio recording. HiveClaw stores the text transcript, speaker changes, joins, leaves, and canvas events so agents can remember decisions and produce a recap.
Consent reminder
Recording laws vary by location. You are responsible for telling anyone on your side of the call when recording is on and for making sure you have the consent you need. This page is product documentation, not legal advice.
Retention and access
Priority audio recordings follow the default project retention window unless your account has a different policy. Dedicated retention can be configured for the tenant. Transcript and recap retention follow your project data retention rules.
For broader data handling rules, read the Privacy Policy.
